Ethics in the Insurance Industry
Your mental attitude is the most dependable key to your personality.
Your view of yourself will greatly influence how others perceive you. If you are a confident, cheerful, positive person, your co-workers, friends, and family will be attracted to your personality. If you are unhappy, negative, and always complaining about your situation, others will be repelled. Even when at times you don’t feel very happy, by forcing yourself to behave in a positive fashion, you will find that you soon feel genuinely upbeat, because your subconscious mind doesn’t know the difference between an artificial emotion and the real thing. When you behave positively, you will positively influence everyone around you — including yourself.

Smile A While
My dinner party was headed for disaster. One man, an insurance salesman, was monopolizing the conversation with a lengthy account of recent litigation involving himself. Since two other guests were lawyers, I was becoming increasingly uneasy.
"In the end," the salesman concluded, "you know who got all the money?" I cringed when he shouted, "The lawyers!"
There was embarrassing silence at the table. My heart was pounding until the wife of one lawyer said, "Oh, I do love a story with a happy ending!"

Is Additional Insured Status Just A Technicality?
An insurer denied coverage for a contractor. The carrier held that the contractor was not owed coverage as it was not explicitly shown under a written agreement to be an additional insured. The contractor, seeking reimbursement after being sued by a city for negligent work, sued the insurer for recovery.
